Maverick "Ricky" WynforAge:
Frisk The Pokémon can check an opposing Pokémon's held item.Hometown:
Maverick is a pretty mellow guy, enjoys conversations, and enjoys his peace. Not totally open to strangers, but enjoys new things. When he sees others with their pets, Maverick will most likely go to the feral pokemon first for a greeting, and then the owner, because he feels more relaxed and comfortable with feral pokemon. It's not that he can't stay focused on one thing at a time, but every so often he gets extremely bored. It doesn't happen often, or easily, but when he gets angry, or really upset, he becomes a real grouch and is hard to deal with. He knows that he gets annoying to be around when he's angry, so he tries to avoid others when upset. He really enjoys ranting, especially with others that have the same opinion. He likes being organized and focusing on one problem at a time, so he can only multi-task things he enjoys. An over all cheery guy, and can tolerate a hefty amount of teasing, just don't over do it or you'll set him off to back talk you, though he isn't that great at it because he has difficulty with really large, obscure words.History: Maverick is an only child to a Noivern mother and an Archeops father, who retired as a competitive battler when Maverick was born. Him and his family lived a basic life in their average home in Coumarine; his mother would stay at home, his father would take small shifts at his part time job to keep the money flowing, and Maverick would idle his time away around the city. One day, when Maverick was very young, while wandering around the city, he left Coumarine and found himself lost, however, he himself did not think he was lost. His parents searched frantically all over the city. Without a trace of their son, Maverick's father left the town in hopes of finding him nearby, only to find Maverick playing with a friendly, feral Skiddo. About a minute after, an old Machoke claiming to be the owner of the Skiddo ran over, and said it had gotten out of the pen at his ranch.
As he grew up, Maverick found himself frequently visiting the old Machoke at his Skiddo ranch and would lend a helping hand where ever he could. The skiddo and the gogoat living on the ranch were extremely comfortable around him, as opposed to other strangers and passer-by. Maverick would nap with them in the sunlight, or chat to them after his classes. His father clued in on this attraction to feral pokemon and would often take Maverick out camping to see other feral pokemon first hand. While hiking through a thick forest on one of their camping trips, Maverick and his father came across some ruslting foliage, which happened to be a large Pangoro. Maverick's father took a stance as if to protect his son, and told him to hide behind him. But Maverick didn't move, instead he seemed to peer past the growling Pangoro. After a quick realization, Maverick advised his father that the two of them should hunch their backs down and back away slowly. The Pangoro, hushed it's growl and motioned for three young pancham cubs to continue to walk down the hiking path. When asked how he knew what to do, Maverick replied that he had been borrowing books from the library at his school.
Since then, if he wasn't trying to sneak feral pokemon into his home, he was trying to sneak them into class. Maverick's parents would often get calls from his school stating that he had tried to bring numerous different feral pokemon into the class room, even going to such lengths as to bring one of the skiddo from the ranch. This lead to his parents buying him his own pet Skitty, which he named Lola, to take care of. Maverick was now either reading various books on feral pokemon, taking care of Lola, or he was with the old Machoke at his ranch, tending to the feral pokemon there. One night, Maverick's parents called him down to the main room of their house, when he came down, not only were his parents there, but the old Machoke was with them as well. Maverick was told that the Machoke was amazed at such a good job he had been doing at his ranch, and came to his parents to recommend further teachings in feral pokemon studies. His parents weren't surprised though, because they had gotten calls from his school stating he should continue down the path of feral academic work. Through his school, Maverick and his parents sent in an application for his admission to the Armonia Institute.Summary Characteristic:
